The Conclusion

You can measure when tectonic plates move. When they move , they cause Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Tsunamis to happen. They get measured on seismographs and on  ricterscales. Seismographs measure slow movement with an exact measure. Ricterscales measure Earthquakes in factors of ten. Like in Christchurch the size was 7.1. Some people are scared that a natural disaster caused by the movement of the tectonic plates will hit them one day.
